Interludes with Nature is a special series of field trips offered every year which are an important fund

raising tool for Boulder County Audubon. These trips are led by this area’s most knowledgeable birders and naturalists and frequently take participants to places you wouldn’t often get to see. Find out what Interludes With Nature trips are happening this year.

Funds raised send our Teen Naturalists to birding and nature camps.

How to Sign up for Interludes With Nature Trips

The first day to sign up for BCAS Interludes With Nature field trips is during our annual Holiday Sale held on the 4th Tuesday in November. They have proved extremely popular and often sell out that evening. This is why you’ll frequently see “SOLD OUT” on individual Interludes trips.

After the Holiday Sale, to sign up for Interludes trip:

  1. Check the individual Interludes event page to make sure it is not sold out.  If it is sold out, you can choose to be added to the wait list by contacting the Interludes Field Trips Coordinator.

  2. Contact the Interludes Field Trips Coordinator at crossbill@boulderaudubon.org, to sign up or request to be added to the waitlist. In your email include: the name of the Interludes trip you want to attend, the name of each person you are requesting a field trip spot for, and a contact phone number (preferably a cell phone number in case the trip leader needs to contact you the day of the trip).

  3. Once the Interludes Field Trips Coordinator has confirmed the open slot(s) for the trip, they will email you an invoice that can be paid on Paypal with a credit card.  You do not need to have a Paypal account.

We require full payment within a week of the Coordinator confirming the open spot(s) on the trip. If you do not want to pay immediately, you can put your name on the Wait List until you want to pay. However, your spot is not held and if the trip sells out, you will not be included.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations incur a $20.00 fee. If you cancel within 3 weeks of the event, your payment, less the fee, will only be refunded if the spot can be filled. Please consider it a donation for the fine work that Boulder County Audubon does and how much work it is to arrange these trips and keep track of the attendees.
